Is an energy audit mandatory in Gujarat?
Yes. The completed audit report must be submitted to the Chief Electrical Inspector's office for mandatory approval.

How long does an energy audit take?
A detailed industrial energy audit typically takes 2 to 6 weeks depending on plant size, connected load, number of utilities (motors, pumps, compressors, lighting, HVAC) and the level of metering already installed. We always commit to a clear timeline at the proposal stage.
What is the difference between an Energy Audit and an Electrical Safety Audit?
An Energy Audit focuses on identifying energy consumption patterns and energy-saving opportunities to reduce your electricity bill. An Electrical Safety Audit reviews the electrical distribution system, earthing, protection schemes and statutory compliance to prevent accidents, fires and downtime. Most industrial units in Gujarat benefit from doing both.
How much can a company save after an energy audit?
Across the 300+ companies audited by Soham Technologies, typical energy savings range between 8% and 22% of the annual energy bill, with most recommendations having a payback period of under 24 months. Larger plants with poor power factor, oversized motors or inefficient HVAC tend to be at the higher end of the range.
